Load Cells
Load cells are categorized as force transducers. These transform force or weight into an electrical signal. We are the leading stockists and distributors for the below mentioned types of load cell. These are namely: -
Column Load Cells -Compact with built - in electronics and rugged.
Load cells are applied to measure tension and compression forces on actuators, tie rods, ropes, chains, hooks or for weighing hooppers and tanks below their legs.
Washer Load Cells Load Cells with a central hole, which supply an electrical signal proportional to the force applied in their axial direction.
Application – for the indication and for the automatic control and feed back of axial thrusts static and dynamic on punching machines, on machine tools, on presses, on power hammers installed directly or, better, through a thrust spherical plane bearing.
Pancake Load Cells – Offered with internal AC/DC electronics
LD – suggested for compression, LT – for Tension and compression applications.
Load Cells find applications in the industry for mechanical machines, for actuators, for weighing systems, for reservoirs singly installed for load concentrated in a point or in a group of 2 to 4 units distributed on several bearings.
Button Load Cells- From (500 g - 2000 kg)
These types are used in the higher measuring ranges. Find applications for general purpose machines, more over their small dimensions and easy construction bring them competitive compared to other large cells with the same measuring ranges.
Button Load Cells- From (3 Kgs - 0.5 tons)
Load cells series BC 300 find applications where the very low profile and the extreme compactness are important. They are used in static and dynamic measurements, in tension and compression. It is used for general purpose measurements on machines, for robotics as tactile sensors, for multipurpose measurements.
Measuring Pins – Offered also with internal AC/DC electronics
The pin load cells Series MD 5000 substitute standard pins, supplying electrical signals proportional to the load applied to them.
These measuring pins are installed on industrial machines; in substitution of pins of wheels, of pulleys, of cranes, of hydraulic actuators and for the measures of fix and mobile plants and reservoirs.
The Series MD 5000 include models “Standard” and “Long” which differ between them for the length of the central body ( =G ) ( see overall dimensions ). The models “Standard” are normal production.
Flexion Beam Load Cell- Compact and available at low cost
APPLICATIONS AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Load cells series MB490 are flexion beam load cells that are fit for OEM applications because of their low price. Load cells mod. MB491 measures compression forces and mod. MB491-P measures tension and compression forces.
Typical applications:
General purpose, weighing systems, automation, textile machines, plastics machines, paper machines, machine tools, presses, food machines, printing machines, medical machines, vehicles etc.
Technical specifications:
Flexion beam load cells series MB490 have a strain gauge bridge working principle.
Series MB490, in order to be correctly used, need to be fixed by using a top fixing plate (not included) and to have a size “A” dimension on their bottom fixing zone.
Z- Folded Load Cells- Available with internal AC/DC electronics
The Series 500 QD are load cells for industrial purpose since long time on the market, which have been submitted to several improvements, with full reliability and suitable also for severe environmental conditions.
Thousands of these cells are continuously working for years submitted to billions cycles/year.
The main improvements introduced have been: metal alloys with great toughness and quality, internal artifices of design and of layout to support, without damages, dynamic and heavy operation, filling of the internal cavity with water-repellent and high insulating silicon gel and rubber: to withstand also aggressive environment and water condensation.
Radial Load Cells- Available for web tensions
The radial load cells Series LCR 200, named also tensiometers, are installed at one or at both the ends of the measuring cylinder in direct contact with the web.
They find applications in textile machines, in paper, plastic, rubber, metal foil and printing machines and, generally, where it is necessary to control the tension on rolled material by the measure of the radial force.
Force Measurement- By mechanical strain which is available at low cost
The force link system LIFTSENTRY® 901 allows the monitoring of the load into the cabin of a lift and gives at the output 2 or 4 overload levels.
It is mainly addressed to the Manufacturers of new lifts and to the Technicians involved with installation, maintenance and in retrofit of existing lifts.
The LIFTSENTRY® 901 is supplied in a box including: the flexion link 942 complete with cable; the signal conditioner 694 A; the base of protection and installation 981, a set of screws and a screwdriver for the electrical regulations.
The force link system STRAINSENTRY® 903 includes: a link of the Series 900 and the signal conditioner 694 A, supplied as separated units or already connected ( under request ).
• The link Series 900 includes: the link 942: for flexion; the link 943: for tension and compression; the link 944: for torsion.
• The links Series 900, when used separately from the structure, become: beam load cells or reaction torque-sensors, which full scale is depending on the point of application of the load ( >10 Kg. FS )
• The signal conditioner Mod. 694 A, with signal and with level outputs, can be used, in its standard version, either as a signal conditioner or as a level discriminator.
• Applications of system 903: on uprights of presses, on tie rods of die-casting machines, on power hammers, on shearing machines, on metal trestles of bridge, on cranes, on frameworks of tanks, on industrial mixers ( Mod. 944: torsion ) and they are often advised in substitution of load cells more expensive and of strain gauges ( due to the fact that they cannot be substituted, either calibrated, or bonded by long life cements ).
